Whether you are here for a short visit, vacationing, visiting family or have lived in Redding a while, there's always something fun to do - especially this time of year! Get out and enjoy the cooler temperature, call a friend and reconnect. In other words unplug from your daily routine and go have some fun!

Speaking of this time of year, I was driving north on Shasta View Dr. a couple of days ago and couldn't help but notice those gorgeous fall colors. If you think our area doesn't have much fall color, think again. Print this brochure and discover a number of scenic drive tours while enjoying these incredible fall colors.

With a course that takes runners over three of this Northern California city’s signature bridges — including Ribbon Bridge, Diestelhorst Bridge and the Sundial Bridge — the aptly named Three Bridges Half Marathon is part of the local Redding Lions Club’s annual Turtle Bay Run road race event. The race also includes a 10K race and a 2-mile run/walk for everyone from adults to children as young as age five. Mostly fast and flat, the race takes runners closely along the shoreline of the Sacramento River, which runs through the center of the city. All three races are set to start this year at the Riverfront Amphitheater north of the Redding Civic Auditorium.
